PARKS

 

1.  Future Tommy Thompson State Park  -  Second largest state park located on the Peshtigo River. 

                                                                       

2        Twin Bridges County Park                   -  On High Falls Flowage (campgrounds and day use area).

 

3.      Veterans Memorial County Park         -  On the Thunder River (campgrounds and day use area).

 

4.      Old veterans Lake Campground  -  On Old Vets Lake ( camping only)

 

5.      Thunder Mountain County Park       -  On Thunder Mountain.

                       

6.      Town of Stephenson Town Park        -  Landing 3 on High Falls Flowage

 

PUBLIC BOAT LANDINGS

 

There are 14 public landings on the Peshtigo River flowages located on Caldron Falls, High Falls, Johnson Falls, and Sandstone.  Landings No. 1, 6, and 7 on High Falls and No. 8 on Caldron Falls have piers for the disabled.

 

Numerous lakes in the township also have public landings.
